    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

I'm interested in that second picture, is that a pre-existing part of the station or was it added? I'm asking since I haven't been to Eglinton in years and I'm trying to figure out if those tiles are the original vitrolites or if the TTC went out of there way to get glossy tiles that match the...

    Transit Fantasy Maps

Made a little map showing what the Bloor-Danforth in Scarborough could have looked like had the old Candadian Northern right-of-way not been developed over.

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

I think the cancellation of the Scarborough Expressway may have also played a roll in the STC being where it is today. Like it or not Highway access is something businesses like and the current location of STC is right on the 401. While it may not have made all the difference I think had the...

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

Honestly I don't think there can be any debate on this topic. Line 4 simply cannot go under Earl Bales, it would be far more expensive than any bridge over the ravine and so deep underground that it would preclude any possibility of a station being built at Bathust Street.

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Looking at Google Maps the area around Don Mills and Eglinton is called Wynford-Concorde so Concorde could be a name for the station although Metrolinx probably wants to avoid that name due to Concorde up in Vaughan. Of course we could just stick the naming conventions we have for interchanges...

    TTC: Streetcar Network

New video up, this one looking at the history of the 509 Harbourfront Streetcar.

    Richmond Hill Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I assume Bridge will become Langstaff to match with Langstaff GO Station, and Hight Tech imo should be Richmond Hill Centre since that's an established naming convention on the subway network.

Here's the actual image from the ea.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

I think it comes down to history here. For the DRL's entire existence the expectation was it would run along Queen Street to Roncessvalles at some point; so the extension down to the ex can be seen as a needless detour. Personally I have nothing against the line going to the ex but all things...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Established conventions? Metrolinx doesn't even follow there own.

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

It's impressive the line isn't even open, yet the bare concrete walls are already suffering from water damage. I guess Mount Dennis can get a pass though since it is outside.

What's the over/under on that blue strip disappearing at some point?

    Transit Fantasy Maps

Updated an Ottawa map I made a while back. In this case its an imagining of the O-Train as a hybrid LRT/Interubran network for the Ottawa-Gatineau region.

    Transit Fantasy Maps

I know this is a bit outside what we usually discuss in this thread but I tried my hand at creating a commuter rail network for Vancouver since it really doesn't have one which is unfortunate for a city of its size.

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

I didn't bring up Lawrence East since its not pertinent to the discussion of whether or not the Sheppard Line should connect to Line 2 at either STC or Sheppard East. As for the 132 Milner it would likely terminate at Sheppard East since it is on the north side of Highway 401.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

I would assume no since even if ML uses single level EMU's for GO RER the GO Network platforms will be lower than the OL's even after they are raised for level boarding with the current GO fleet. So sure they may be able to use the tunnel but they wouldn't be able to stop anywhere. This also...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

I say the 16 goes to Sheppard simply because if it terminates at STC than someone wanting to go beyond Sheppard would have to transfer onto the subway take it one stop (or two if they transfer at Lawrence) and then transfer again onto the 129. So if the 16 doesn't go to Sheppard than I guess the...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

If I had to guess what routes would stop where, then going by the bus network as it currently is: SHEPPARD EAST: 16 McCowan 85 Sheppard East/985 Sheppard East Express 129 McCowan North 130 Middlefield 131 Nugget 169 Huntingwood 939 Finch East Express SCARBOROUGH CENTRE: 9 Bellamy 16 McCowan...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

It is odd the TTC hasn't put out what the route diversions will be since to me at least it seems like it should be obvious. Have the 501's in the west end turn back at McCaul Loop, and the 501's in the east end loop via Church > Richmond > Victoria. If the entire Queen/Victoria intersection will...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

It doesn't need to be an either/or. A stop at both McCowan and Sheppard as well as Markham and Finch would be just fine since they would be around 2km apart which is fine for GO Service, especially as we move towards RER's more "surface subway" style operations.
