    Wayfinding signage ideas

One thing i'm alway confused to see is how we treat most exit signs as red when red is a universal treatment of stop / avoid / danger. It really should be green.

The New Domino, Brooklyn, New York, United States (Rafael Vinoly Architects PC)

Didn't Richard Rogers design a project for this spot a few years ago? I remember it being much better too.

    The Burj in Toronto?

Is that the correct scale? It looks smaller than it should be. Looks great though!

'Absolute bedlam' on Pearson's busiest day

I bet all the American carriers are loving these no carry on restrictions. Considering they are now making an extra $15-$25 per customer for now having to check a bag. Perhaps this was a scheme to keep the US airline industry alive.

    MoveOntario 2020: GO Transit Electrification

Not sure if anyone has been following the problems happening in Europe this past week but quite an interesting situtation. Surprised they are having so many problems with the electrified trains. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8423442.stm

It might not suit your tastes but I'm sure you'd find thousands of people in this city who would say otherwise. I do like the idea of having some sort of entrance to the CN Tower under some water. Something perhaps like the entrace to the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing.

    Blue Jays

It sounds like a great move to make. The prospects look really strong which will just help us build a great young team. It's obvious even if Roy pitched for us and won 25 games this year, we still wouldn't have made the playoffs. I'm excited.

    Toronto Couture The Condominium | ?m | 42s | Philmor | Graziani + Corazza

Unless Ted Rogers used his money to build something on Jarvis to be used by the citizens of the city, there's no way in hell I'd support renaming it after him. Might as well rename Church Street Harold Ballard Avenue.

Toronto non-mall retail (Odds & Ends)

Yay CB2!! I love this store and while it's sad to see the Big Bop go, I'll be happy to wander down to CB2 all the time.

    The Weather

It's too bad we're not getting the full blast of snow because that added rain should make for puddles the size of oceans on streetcorners pretty quickly. I finally bit the bullet and purchased some snowboots so i'll be ready when it hits. Who won the bet?

    TTC: Stations that Need Improvements

I love those Munich stations with the hanging lights. It goes to show with a little thought and imagination, you can have a station that doesn't break the bank while looking amazing. Concrete walls, ceilings and simple hardware with advanced lighting to give everything a nice finish. Having a...

    Toronto The Uptown Residences | ?m | 48s | Pemberton | Burka

Pemberton group happened. What did you all expect? It's always been a boring tower covered in precast. Enjoy it while it looks new because this thing is going to look terrible in 10 years.

    Toronto Crosstown Community | 135.02m | 44s | Aspen Ridge | Sweeny &Co

I hope they don't do anything bad to the building fronting Don Mills. They should turn that great building into lofts and then add some 5-7 story condos with streetfront retail where the parking lots currently exist. Could be a great little dense community with alot of charm.

You can probably guarantee that he's going to demolish it to make it an even larger parking lot.

    Toronto Charlie Condos | 122.83m | 36s | Great Gulf | Diamond Schmitt

Actually the view from unit might still be ok. The tower portion of Charlie is aligned to the east portion of the site and the south portion is low enough to allow sunshine to pass through to this unit. The sliver of daylight might only last for a couple of hours but it's still sunlight...
