So they are only tracking individual trips and not a case where someone makes a trip, docks their bike, then immediately makes another trip to continue their journey. This would be more meaningful data.

They have had staffed stations on some weekends over the summer. It just involves a ton of extra bikes on standby, tethered together with a cable. The staffer can unlock bikes from the dock and add them to the tethered group and vice versa.

Unfortunately the City uses green to represent "shared" space which to me makes no sense!
