    Toronto Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

I thought there was going to be a giant sculpture on top of the first one, or am I thinking of another project?

    More commercial please!

And, I would add, that unlike in past booms, this time around institutional buildings also played a big part (U of T, AGO, ROM)

    Canadian media & the CRTC

Be a shame to lose all that pedestrian traffic that fits so nicely into the backdrop on Breakfast Television and replace it with all those cars zooming by. On the other hand, strategically placed cameras could provide really nice views of all that's "new" down there. Either way, the impact will...

    By-Elections in Quebec

My pardons for hyperbolizing your point in a shameless attempt to provoke you. A conversation for another time.....:)

The Tenor (10 Dundas St E, Ent Prop Trust, 10s, Baldwin & Franklin)

I have to disagree with this, at least on the Toronto perspective. People drive because driving is, by and large, more convenient, leaving aside the issue of living and working in different area codes. In North America we build highways and people drive. In Europe they build rail and people...

Clairmont, The (Yonge s of St. Clair, Edilcan, 14s, P+S) COMPLETE

lol...totally with you on the ivy....I live across the street from this building and almost every time I pass it I wonder when they're going to plant something.

Or....dare I say....wider sidewalks AND proper bike lanes for Yonge St.?

IMO it should always be about architecture and urban form -- not exclusively, but it should always be factored in otherwise we're just building, not city-building.

The Tenor (10 Dundas St E, Ent Prop Trust, 10s, Baldwin & Franklin)

^^^I was being facetious. (Stanley Cup? Toronto? LMAO!!) I'd actually love to see the sidewalks widened on Yonge St. from Bloor south. It's the city's main pedestrian highway and nowhere near wide enough. It's amazing how quickly a crowd can overtake a corner waiting for the light to change...

Then where would be put all the parades and spontaneous Stanley Cup celebrations?

    By-Elections in Quebec

At the risk of getting too off topic.... I'm not sure i understand your last point about interventionism being under the exclusive purview of the NDP?

    By-Elections in Quebec

I still think if Dion really does implode, Kennedy will wear it. In politics, if you're associated with a sinking ship, you drown. Unless, of course, you're a rat. They always find a way off a sinking ship. I used to be a big fan of his, now my love is lukewarm at best.

    The Challenge of Going Eco

When I read "uber-green city" in the lead para I almost looked at the headline again to make sure it really was a story about Toronto...but the wait for the streetcar confirmed it quickly.

    The Challenge of Going Eco

    By-Elections in Quebec

Remember, it was Kennedy's political maneuvering that put Dion over the top. And if Dion's really the "worst leader", doesn't that show that Kennedy has poor judgment? I was a Kennedy youth delegate at the leadership convention he lost to Dalton McGuinty. Kennedy started way out in front and...

MMP: How do you intend to vote?

I'm not so sure it's safe to assume that Tory is more likely to keep his promises. Every politician has broken promises under his belt. (I try not to use absolute terms like "every" and "always" without a Wikipedia reference to back me up...but I think it's safe here.) Tory hasn't broken any...
