    Toronto Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Toronto | 203.9m | 52s | Lifetime | a—A

^I think he was being sarcastic. Kind of hard to tell on the internet though. Yeah, the podium is surprisingly terrible. Funny, because aA is known for well designed podiums that meet the street with plain towers above. This time, we got a bunker with a plain tower above. On the other hand, the...

    Toronto Ïce Condominiums at York Centre | 234.07m | 67s | Lanterra | a—A

I just realized that out of all the buildings in that picture, the only towers to NOT have a twin/look-alike will be 10 york and Delta Bremner. Oh, and the Toronto Star building. Ugh.

    Toronto Market Wharf | 110.33m | 33s | Context Development | a—A

I see this building every single day. The wave effect is barely noticeable unless the conditions are right - like in the lighting of the above photos, or if standing underneath and looking straight up. Otherwise, 80% of the time it looks like a generic glass condo. Like a lot of aA's projects...

    Toronto The Britt Condos | 142.03m | 41s | Lanterra | Arcadis

I didn't think I could hate P+S's work any more than I did, but they have outdone themselves this time.

    Mississauga Mississauga Square | ?m | 33s | Plaza | Turner Fleischer

That's his opinion. Get off your imaginary throne. But yeah, I think these look pretty terrible too.

Toronto Ontario Square and Canada Square | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

Wasn't that part of a future phase that wasn't funded yet? I'm a little confused about this project, and how much they're actually going to build right now.

    Toronto 88 Scott Street | 203.9m | 58s | Concert | P + S / IBI

Wow that's a nice render. And it is very realistic too, except for the three glowing rectangular boxes. Gives us an actual idea of how it will end up looking, and at night, it's a beaut!

    Toronto Chelsea Green (was 33 Gerrard) | 297.25m | 90s | Great Eagle | a—A

Or any hotel? ever? Honestly when I first arrive at a hotel, the first thing I go to is the balcony. I would find it hard to believe that I'm the only one. About the re-clad, I wish something similar to Woodward's in Vancouver would be done here. You know, with those delicious red metal panels...

    Toronto Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

^ It's the new brutalism! Aura is growing on me as well. I always found the podium glass to be really nice - similar to that of PwC Tower, but slapped on a non-box form. You can bet that once the curtain wall upper floors are completed Aura will start to look spectacular, and may even gain the...

    steveve's Toronto city model

This model is spectacular, steveve, and If you are pursuing architecture school this model will surely be your selling point. Being a graduate from Architecture at Ryerson, I can tell you they will love this. If it is what you want to pursue, make sure you take professional quality photographs...

Trinity District at Lakeview (Trinity/Rio Can, Retail Box/Condo, 2s, Greenberg Farrow) COMPLETE

I also agree. It isn't about height, it's about good urban planning.

Toronto Toronto City Hall and Nathan Phillips Square | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | Perkins&Will

Also, NPS is the heart of the city. Dundas Square is a tacky media square.

    Toronto Canary District Condominiums | 35.96m | 11s | DundeeKilmer | KPMB

Is this at the southwest corner of Front + Cherry?
  14. MBS

Toronto Toronto City Hall and Nathan Phillips Square | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | Perkins&Will

Also, it doesn't have the city hall behind it, so it is less picturesque. Maybe it would be used for seating during the event - you'd get a pretty nice view.
  15. MBS

    Toronto Sun Life Financial Tower & Harbour Plaza Residences | 236.51m | 67s | Menkes | Sweeny &Co

I don't think this city has enough bland glass boxes yet.

    Toronto Sixty Colborne Condos | 82.29m | 25s | Freed | a—A

It's good to see aA finally able to go beyond the typical glass box (which is not a stab at the firm, but the developers). It looks like Freed has given them a bit more room for creativity with this project, and it sure looks promising. My only criticism is the upper half of the podium which is...

    Toronto Four Eleven King Condominiums | 149.04m | 45s | Great Gulf | KPMB

After seeing the horribly offensive design at the King Blue, this has made me feel much better. The shorter tower at the corner could be absolutely spectacular with high end materials and proper detailing.
  18. MBS

    Toronto Cumberland Square | 253.92m | 75s | KingSett Capital | Giannone Petricone

Wow, so even the "worst" architecture in the UK is more interesting, creative, sophisticated and refined than most projects we've built here in the past two decades. Sigh.

    Toronto Aura at College Park | 271.87m | 78s | Canderel | Graziani + Corazza

^Or perhaps a second for T.o. Isn't the exact same system being used at Trump right now? Still really cool. I forgot about their intentions of opening the retail podium to the public before the tower is complete. It'll be nice not having a huge mess at street level for years.
