Toronto Cherry House at Canary Landing | 50.32m | 13s | Dream | COBE Architects

Are we getting to peak community centre? Can we talk to someone at Staples and get a Service Ontario instead? Maybe a combo passport office? I dunno. What else do we need? Cherry Place is coming and it’d be great to get some of those services nearby.

I wish Front Street had an obvious place for pickup and drop off. I can only imagine the number of Uber drivers, especially during the winter market, that will abruptly turn on their dang four-way flashers.

I hadn't realized this project is in part intended for amateur athletes, with affordable units and a very fancy gym:

Many athletes earn less than people assume. A Toronto housing project aims to help

A new downtown Toronto housing development is aiming to ease the financial strain that many high-performing Canadian athletes face.

Cherry House is located in the Canary District, just west of the Distillery District, with 30 per cent of its 855 rental units set aside as affordable housing.

But the entire property was designed with athletes in mind, Andrew Joyner, senior managing director at Tricon Residential – the developer behind the purpose-built rental project – told CBC Toronto.
This area previously housed 2015 Pan Am Games athletes in some of the condos in Canary District.
