    Toronto King-Liberty GO Station | 21.39m | 3s | Metrolinx | WSP

I know this is an old resurfaced comment but I want to highlight the site context for others. The bridge could not easily be relocated further east as the ROW is squeezed thin. Yes the entrances are offset from vehicle paths, but there are many direct walkable paths from Queen using this...

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

This video looks exciting and promising when watched at 2x speed. I really liked the part where the single rich person in a Lamborghini had turning priority over the LRV.

Core just about topped out and the rest is filling in the skyline from north east.

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

I think I put this one near the bottom of my ballot. The shape, colour, and cables all create a shared theme of bridges in the channel (future OL Lower Don Bridge and other Villiers Island bridges). Some will favour the consistency, personally I would prefer a variety.

    Toronto Forma | 308m | 84s | Great Gulf | Gehry Partners

The addresses for this are a bit messy; lot control splitting, rezoning, assembly. The second phase (west tower) will stretch from King St to Pearl St and from Ed Mirvish Way to Princess of Whales Theatre. Next to the theatre the Anderson Building facade will be retained.

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

There can be important context to every infraction detected so it will be a full time gig for whoever gets to review all the footage before ticketing – what a dull job that’ll be! For instance, one time my car was blocked from clearing Queen and Spadina by some contravening vagrants. When my...

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

One car is what- 20m long? I think the typical proposed stations for Eglinton were designed to provide a 60m platform and 30m reserved before service areas. I can’t confirm they actually followed through with that since this is one of the least transparent public project developments in the...

    Mississauga Mississauga Transitway | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | IBI Group

Once line 5 opens I imagine many transitway travellers will benefit from Eglinton as an alternate route into Toronto. Take for example approximate travel time Renforth to St. George: Bloor Route: 36+ mins to St George MiWay / GO: 13+ minute bus ride Renforth to Kipling Line 2: 23 minute train...

    Toronto Lower Don Lands Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

I think the choice to launch the TBM at Corktown rather than anywhere closer to the portal tells us all we need to know about station feasibility around here. The grade change isn’t the steepest on the line, ascending much closer to the Don river and at a lower height than the existing rail...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

I thought maybe the same reason they lock up the enclosed shelters. Metrolinx has stated there are safety concerns at the station including vandalism, drug use, trespassing and assault. Rubbish solutions though, it’s unclear what makes this any different from other stations in city centres like...

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

They are a small barrier, but what’s above is mostly visible. Consider the streetcar necessary action signs hung above the catenary. I don’t think aligning the signage in places like this should be ruled out as an option.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

Initial conditions for this project are a mostly 3 track corridor, with bridges built for up to 4 tracks. The easternmost track has been removed since. At the bottom of your latest photo you can see the extra room under the train signal where a third track ran.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

Yes. Currently they are clearing on the east side of the corridor. They will rebuild eastern portions of each bridge and regrade for 3 new GO tracks on the east side of active tracks. Service will move onto the new tracks and the west side of the corridor will be rebuilt with 1 new GO track...
