Hariri/Snohetta/John Laing are definitely the strongest team in terms of experience on large-scale cultural projects.

But Belevedere/Ellis Don is very interesting. Belvedere is an ex Renzo Piano partner and I think that design language will resonate very much with the marine site here and the original structures.

Agree on both..........

Or put another way..............not 'Discover'......

In fact the Toronto Courthouse was listed as one of Belvedere's project on their website.

Snøhetta has some pretty amazing designs under their belt. I am hopeful.

Look at all of the people reposing! Love it.

For Ontario place, you need to render in a 6 storey parking garage in the background.
As long as it’s designed by Snöhetta! 🤣 But seriously I have a feeling that the monster garage is going to be scaled down little by little. Or how about we design it so that it can be easily converted to another use. Sneaky! 😏

I gots no problem with a parking garage. Families arrive in cars. I know we dream that they come by GO Train and TTC and bicycles and pogo sticks, but rude awakening - families travel in cars. And when they get there they'll need somewhere to park. But don't worry the parking garage will have an 'appropriate amount' of graffiti all over it. And I'm sure also people experiencing homelessness setting up permanently in certain corners or at least using it as an unsupervised injection site. So it it will be a mixed use parking garage. :)

Honestly.... this one prolly will have surveillance... so it is unlikely it will have a lot of homeless ppl chilling for long. Tho I cannot tell you are being serious here... kinda hard to tell reading text.
