GO Transit Fleet Equipment and other

Are they using it as a switcher?

Looks like they want to build a GO line along the York Sub. Or buy it out all together.

It would be cheaper to build one land in each direction and have a dedicated bus lane.

Either in the center median or on the edges.
No it has no number boards and very obviously is on its way to be rebuilt

new door pannel type on GO 2143? i forgot the car number

2100 has been on an 8 car for the longest time yet the train has never moved, they keep switching out the units but the train never runs currently the unit is 612 if anyone has any info if 2100 will run again before refurb please tell me asap. this train is at west end of Mimico yard

You are misunderstanding. They want to buy only the portion of the York sub that the Kitchener line already uses and divert freight onto a new line that follows highway 407.

The end goal would be to also get CP on board. This is basically another attempt at The Missing Link.

Off-topic, but I think you mean the Halton Sub.

Do they alternate between ONR and Alstom? I guess CAD didn't bid?
Ontario Northland is still refurbishing the series 2 cars and will be for a while.

I believe they tend to send the older cars to Ontario Northland and the newer cars to Thunder Bay too, but I don’t know if that’s intentional.

Is there any way to track down the cab cars with the old front? I'm aware there's numerous trarcking website but these seem to only show the locomotive numbers and not consist information.

Thanks

Publicly, there is no way other than trying to parse observations and sightings from others.

I wonder how much a new equivalent car from CRRC would go for
thats the price if inflation and refurbing old equipment. eventually the cost of maintenance approaches the cost of outright replacement. i wouldnt be surprised though if some of the costs trickle down to some kickbacks...
