I am always surprised that these tiny units have a dishwasher. Washing up by hand would create more space...or is the dishwasher for storage? LOL

It's laziness on the part of developers. They want to have the same appliances for all units.
Who the heck needs 4 burners? If you have a tiny place, do you really need a full sized oven and dishwasher?
But rather than get custom sized appliances they take a one size fits all approach.

About half my friends use their dishwasher as storage space and generally wash by hand.

I love these vids. Great channel. Mostly to get ideas on how to get more value out of every sqft.
But they do make me question what’s acceptable in terms of living space. My take is 500sqft per person. But maybe it depends on clever interior design.
