With Midtown Toronto rapidly evolving, especially the streets to the northeast of the intersection of Yonge and Eglinton, a block along Broadway Avenue between Redpath Avenue and Mount Pleasant Road is being transformed with multiple projects from Reserve Properties and Westdale Properties. As anticipation builds for the opening of the Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown LRT, these developers started in this area with Line 5 Condos and have continued with the 26- and 37-storey Untitled Toronto, and 39-storey 100 Broadway Avenue, all designed by Arcadis.

Adding a unique flair to Untitled Toronto, Grammy-winning artist Pharrell Williams is a collaborator in its architectural and interior design, including in the balconies where the waveforms of Williams’ hit Gust of Wind shape the leading edges and the reflective guards. The three towers have ascended over the last couple of years, with two of the towers not topped off.

Looking back though to December, 2022, we look northwest to 100 Broadway Avenue standing six storeys high, with several floors fully formed, while in front of it stand the Untitled Toronto south tower crane, and to its right, the crane for the north tower with portions of its first-floor concrete formed, setting the stage for further growth in the following months.

Seventeen months later in April, 2024, the south tower of Untitled Toronto now rises 14 storeys, and the north tower several storeys ahead of it. These towers are beginning to display their distinctive design features, particularly the wavy balconies that starkly contrast with the purely rectilinear design of 100 Broadway Avenue, which topped off mid-2023. Notably, the initial stages of the curtain wall glazing have been installed on Untitled Toronto's south tower, covering five floors above the podium, and extending along the south elevation of the north tower, bringing a reflective and modern finish to the facade.

Below, 100 Broadway’s podium to the left features sleek, straight lines and is clad in black panels, complemented by glazing framed with thin black mullions. A construction hoist remains active on the south elevation. Meanwhile, Untitled Toronto contrasts with its more jagged form inflected by the Gust of Wind waveforms. This podium is also clad in black panels, but it awaits the installation of glass.

In the most recent view from the construction site of Untitled Toronto, the north tower has now reached its mechanical penthouse, its form still exposed bare concrete, with a construction hoist on the east elevation. Adjacent to this, the south tower's construction hoist clings to its south elevation. The facade of the building is beginning to reveal its distinctive architectural identity, with wavy balconies projecting from the curtain wall, providing a stark contrast to the darker hues of the four-storey podium below.

The recent southeast-looking view of 100 Broadway Avenue reveals a building nearing completion, marked by its sharp architectural features and the use of contrasting materials that define its facade. The north elevation features a column of balconies, distinguished by their white undersides and black railings, projecting outward. Glazing on the north and west elevations is now largely in place. The podium, clad in stark black panels, showcases cantilevered sections above the ground floor on the west elevation and a strategic step-back above the fourth level.

Upon completion, Untitled Toronto’s towers will ascend to 89.4m and 121m, with 858 units, while 100 Broadway Avenue will stand at 121.35m with 448 units.
