Minto Communities recently celebrated a significant construction milestone for their Oakvillage masterplanned community, with the topping-off of North Oak Tower 1. This milestone marks a pivotal moment in the journey towards the completion of Phase 4 of the project and the larger masterplanned community that is set to transform Upper Oakville. Having broken ground in July, 2022 and with an anticipated occupancy date set for the summer of 2025, Tower 1 stands as a testament to wellness and safety, innovative design, and a commitment to sustainable living.

Situated at Dundas Street East and Trafalgar Road in the growing Trafalgar neighbourhood in Uptown Oakville, Oakvillage embodies Minto Communities' dedication to creating better living spaces with direct access to nature. With previous phases successfully sold and completed, the addition of Tower 1 further enriches this new vibrant community. Tower 2 is expected to top-off later this year and sales for Tower 3 are currently underway.

Designed by BDP Quadrangle, Tower 1 stands at 20 storeys and will include 212 suites. Collectively, Towers 1 and 2 will bring 378 thoughtfully designed suites to the Oakville community. With functional layouts and beautiful finishes, North Oak proudly exemplifies Minto’s commitment to better living.

Biophilic design principles have been integrated to enhance residents' well-being, with interiors flooded with natural light and extensive views of the surrounding greenery and the Athabasca Pond in the Oakvillage community. Outdoor spaces like the landscaped terrace and outdoor lounge offer opportunities for relaxation and socialization amidst the natural beauty of Oakvillage. Just steps away from the community, future residents will also be able to enjoy tree-lined walking paths and biking trails.

Sustainability, wellness and safety also lie at the heart of North Oak’s design. Towers 1 and 2 are connected by The Neighbourhood Nest, a shared lobby that includes a resiliency feature which will serve as a meeting place for residents in the event of an emergency and will offer back-up power, refrigeration for medications, and potable water. In addition, future residents of North Oak will be able to access a plethora of amenities designed by figure3, to enhance their living experience, including a state-of-the-art fitness room and a serene co-working space.

North Oak also features a high-performance geo-exchange energy system - one of the first of its kind in the GTA and a first for Minto – which will work towards reducing carbon emissions and enhancing residents' quality of life. As part of North Oak’s energy system, future residents can expect up to a 70% reduction in carbon emissions and stable energy costs. Minto’s investment in Oakville and sustainable living garnered their most recent recognition with the Oakville Chamber of Commerce, receiving the 2024 Oakville Hydro Sustainability Leader of the Year award.
