Construction is in full swing on The Station Condos at the Subway, a modern, two-tower and podium project within walking distance of Wilson subway station in North York.

Developer Brandy Lane Homes has partnered again with SMV Architects—that stands for Stone McQuire Vogt—known for the Mountain Equipment Co-op building on King West, The Village at Blue Mountain, and Loggia on The Queensway just west of Islington in Etobicoke.

UrbanToronto member drum118 has shared these construction update shots. Heavy rain throughout May caused major flooding at the site and took its toll on scheduling, but work has carried on. Excavation was completed as was underground drainage work. With forming and mechanical/electrical contractors on site, crews are pouring concrete floor slabs and columns and preparing the site for service work which will commence in September. The next big milestone: reach street level.

With a unit count of 388 units, the residential complex's towers will reach 14 and 12 storeys tall, with a 6-storey podium rising between them. Below is a rendering of the project when it is complete.
