I was in Yorkville today and snapped some pics of ice sculptures that are part of the annual IceFest happening this weekend. Never uploaded from Flickr before, hope this works.
The carving competitions and demonstrations are lots of fun if you have kids.

The trendy Bloor-Yorkville area will celebrate winter with a festival of ice sculptures, carving competitions and more this weekend.
IceFest, presented by the Bloor-Yorkville BIA, will feature a variety of attractions, from chic parties to family events, with proceeds from many of the events going to charity.
The event will kick off with the Underwater Kingdom, which showcases a half-sunken pirate ship with ice crystal treasure, all crafted from 25,000 pounds of ice. The scene will be on display from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23 and Sunday, Feb. 24 in the Village of Yorkville Park at the corner of Bellair and Cumberland streets. Visitors can have their pictures taken in a giant clam shell for $5, with proceeds going to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
The park will also be home to an ice carving competition starting at noon on Saturday, Feb. 23 and ice carving demonstrations from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24. More ice carving demonstrations will take place at Yonge Street and Yorkville Avenue from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Many local retailers will also donate a portion of sales on Saturday to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
