Why don’t MLS condo listings show sqft?

Why doesn’t realtor.ca show the sqft for condos? It seems like an important omission. If searching for a condo you’ll click the number of rooms and bathrooms but then you’re stuck with hundreds of units to search through. For example, you want a three bedroom unit for a family you’ll want to find one with larger space, but there’s no way to filter for that.

try using house sigma app hundreds times better then realtor.ca , and house sigma has way more information

The agents don't want that. They want to tire you out with a lot of mediocre listings that take time to sort through and visit so that you settle for less. The most important thing to them is that you buy something, even though it might be most of your net worth that's at stake. And if you're not satisfied, you can sell. Then, they make more money.

The realtor business seems like such a racket to me. I hire you to find me a home, but you get paid more if I pay more. What's your incentive to ensure I get the best value for product?

What the realtor biz needs is a reverse commission, AKA inverted commission structure, where the agent earns a higher commission when the client pays a lower price. This creates an incentive for the agent to negotiate better deals for clients.

And I would like to pay my agent to sell our place, but the buying agent is the one really selling it to their buyer. I would like to pay my selling agent a fixed fee and a larger commission if they can get more for me. A little bit of a conflict. :)
