Toronto Sun Comments

It's the Sun ... who cares.

When was the last time you ever saw someone reading the Sun ... I frequently see Metro ... and even the Sun's 24 lying around. And often the Star and the Globe. And occasionally even the Post. But I can't recall the last time I saw someone reading the Sun in public ... or one lying around ... except for maybe in a Tim Horton's deep in 905.

The Sun is very poorly written - politics aside, you have to be a pretty illiterate person to actually read the thing. You'd think that his hard-core Conservative followers would be much more apt to read the Post, which is at least well-written.

Fair enough, but why so disgusting. First off why is respect based on money in the private sector? Also not everyone is a socialist? And the personal attacks on union workers? No one forced you into your current job.

Good point about the readership though. National Post is head and shoulders above the sun.

The US has Michele Bachmann and the Tea Party. Toronto has Rob Ford and Ford Nation members, ( Sun readers) Both groups of people are using and taking goods and services provided by the government and the city all their lives -- but now, suddenly, mysteriously, oddly they're all screaming about taxes!

It doesn't bother me that much. The Sun appeals to the lowest common demoninator. The white trash demographic. These people making these comments don't strike me as very influential people.

Now imagine living in the U.S. where Fox News is the highest rated news network, and is voted as the most reliable news channel. That would be more concerning to me.

I switched from Rogers to Bell Fibe last week for TV service and was delighted to be able to watch SUN TV if and when I choose through the magic of a PVR.

Sun TV is the best thing on television. The Source with Ezra Levant and The Arena with Michael Coren, namely. Byline or 'Briline', as I call it, with Brian Lilley isn't bad. Charles Adler is extremely boring, though. I wish John Robson had his own program on the network. He's an exceptionally bright guy and great orator. Mark Steyn should have his own program as well. Unfortunately most people aren't even aware of the existence of the network. It's such a refreshing change from the ultra socialist CBC propaganda we're forced to keep afloat.

This is a fantastic interview. I wish Mark Steyn was the leader of the conservative party.

I do like reading the Sun for local "non-news" news stories which the other national papers don't have time for. And, oh yeah, I do enjoy reading about the Sunshine Girl and how much she likes the Toronto Maple Leafs and quiet walks along the beach (is she referring to Ashbridges?!).
