Not much known about the site, it is in the pre-application stages with the city. However we learn from this recent report the following information:

Three building site with two residential towers of 52 and 56-storeys, totaling 10,000 sqft of retail space, 925,000 sqft of residential space, and 1,143 residential units.

It is also located at the SmartCentres Subway parking lot located at the northeast corner of Commerce St and Highway 7, or Block E2 in the below image taken from SmartCentres recent investment report:

SmartCentres definitely moving quickly on all these blocks, wonder if they are worried about their own projects cannibalizing sales from one-another? 😅

These projects seem to sell out so fast that maybe the issue is that they can’t build them fast enough ;)

New docs posted on PlanIt last month. Not sure how nobody noticed but here they are! Lots and lots of renderings in this one.
Architect is Hariri Pontarini, also looks like TACC and Remington are involved in addition to SmartCentres.
Total GFA: 107,512.7 sqm
2 Studio, 681 1 bed, 325 2 bed, 62 3 bed for a total of 1070 units.
429 parking spaces + 650 bike parking.
Going by the section drawings, the towers are 190.45m and 164.52m

I'm going to ignore the towers, and simply say, the scale at grade is off; the block size is wrong, granularity is missing and it reads cold.

If this is what you're going to put up, don't.

It's hard not to improve on the current site; this seems to be working hard to achieve just that.

The next SmartCentres/SmartLiving residential complex coming to their VMC site is being called Park Place. It will be on the northeast corner of Highway 7 and Commerce Street. The 48 and 56-storey towers are designed by Hariri Pontarini. More info coming soon!

Wow!! Some more big towers coming to Vaughan's downtown city centre area. I believe they've both past the 150m marks cool !!

Does anybody know a rough schedule of these Towers?
Furthermore the status of the project - probably still pre-application stage with the City?
Thanks guys.

Really dumb to put county road numbers on new street signs in an upcoming urban district when even the old ones didn't.
