To me the problem here is that the colour and patterning makes the spandrel stand out even more and draws attention to how truly bad this cladding material is. It's almost as if the developers are rubbing it in at this point; enjoy your cheap eyesores, we don't care because we'll make our millions and retreat to our wealthy suburban enclaves. It's borderline contemptible.
 
On the positive side, the colourful towers in Waterloo are feeling better about themselves.
