This new application is for the final piece of the Eglinton Square lands; applications to date have not included the portion of the site on which the Metro Supermarket sits, and over to Pharmacy. This, is that App.

More parking spaces than residential units. On an LRT line. I get it's in the suburbs, but we aren't even trying to get people to use transit with developments like this.

You made me look at the Transportation Plan filed with the App.

They provided the exact amount of parking prescribed in the City by-laws at the time of filing.

Which is ever so slightly less than 1 per unit, allowing for retail and visitor parking.

Preliminary Report on this one to the Feb. 25 meeting of SCC:

Beyond the pro-forma, we see a few things of note:

The applicant will be required to
consider additional transportation network improvements beyond those secured in the
GMSP, especially improvements to the cycling, pedestrian, and transit network, to
support the suggested additional density

Also, the City would like the applicant to assemble the corner property at Pharmacy and Eglinton currently home to the Burger King and City Optical.

A couple of final notes, the City wants more road allowance dedicated, particularly on the Eglinton frontage, but also the Pharmacy one.

Also noted is that the O'Connor alignment isn't yet settled and may impact this proposal.

They're probably planning for the inevitability that the Eglinton Crosstown still won't be complete by the time this is done. 11 years and counting...
