A 15-storey condo development is proposed on the northwest corner of Queen Street West and Chinguacousy Road, where a historic school house stands. The 1874 schoolhouse got a mid-century expansion prior to Chinguacousy Township's merger into Brampton, and was a private Montessori school for many years. The site is now owned by Umbria, and is used as an office for the Downtown Aura townhouse development.

Proposed:
61 one-bedroom units,
89 two-bedroom units, and
29 three-bedroom units

The heritage original schoolhouse would be moved on-site.

This project has been added to the database with some updates and new renderings. Based on the latest submission of architectural documents from April 2022, the architect is now Kirkor and the total storey count is now 14 storeys.

From the latest (April 7, 2022) cover letter we find an update regarding the status of the heritage schoolhouse:
the existing Schoolhouse building will be moved off-site to the neighbouring City Park, and the orientation and massing of the building has been revised to abut both Queen Street and Chinguacousy Road. The existing buildings on site that do not retain any heritage value will be demolished.
