Ii read somewhere that they expect Toronto to need 1 million new units by 2025 (that was several years ago). If that is the case, any correction will be short lived. Now, if we could move to an open border with the US, Toronto would probably grow even faster with Buffalo becoming a suburb to the big city of Toronto. If you want to live downtown - you have to move from Buffalo to Toronto

It should be remembered that condo does not mean just high-rise. It could be townhouses and low-rises, as well.
I find that condos are fine for the childless or those who vacation a lot. That means newlyweds and retired folks. Having said that, I do have friends with kids who live in condos. So that is not carved in stone.
