Hey all,
Sorry if this has been captured somewhere else, but... thought that folks might be interested to see some new tree-pit covers that are going in on Carlton St., between Yonge and Church, replacing the standard concrete-coffins that they typically use. They're re-doing the whole block and it looks like they might be adding the same pit covers on College between Yonge and Bay. It also looks like they're putting some new structure in place underneath the covers...
Does anybody know the story with these? Are they a product of the local BIA? Or a new standard for the city?
