I've noticed this with some other NY Centre developments, the model seems to be to cram as many tiny little stores into one building as possible. I believe ultimately this bodes well for the liveliness of NY Centre. I can't think of a recent central development with such intense commercial activity at ground level. Notice the types of stores, too, certainly most seem not to be chain stores.
But what is going on with people's heads that they can have sleek glassy towers emerging Venus-like from a shell of misconstrued, badly proportioned, "ye olde classical" ground level elements? Just stop!
