Just saw Legends...

....what an absolute POS. My wife so much wanted to see this show, and even she begged to leave at intermission (we did). Tickets were free, so just time lost, but sweet jeez that was one boring POS.

No shit. There is a reason why it closed out of town, and never came to Broadway, back in the '80s when Carol Channing and Mary Martin were in it.

The last time I was in the same town as Joan Collins was this spring, when she appeared in sleepy King's Lynn - rural Norfolk U.K., at the end of the train line from London. A few weeks later another venerable old trouper - Morrissey - was playing the same small venue.

Golly. Were they invited to dine and sleep at Sandringham?

'The Queen' is playing here in Fakenham's tiny cinema, but I haven't noticed anyone going in or out of the building. Helen Mirren has done another 'Prime Suspect' too - the final one I believe.

HM (Helen Mirren) was on Today this morning joking that if she were HM (the other one) she wouldn't be able to resist seeing her portrayal of her onscreen.

I'm seeing it tomorrow night.

Linda Evans looked like the tall fellow from the Munsters wearing a wig.

There was a docudrama on British TV a couple of days ago, about nazi nutbar Rudolph Hess and his war trial. Ben Cross, who portrayed him, looked and acted spookily like Michael Ignatieff.

Ohh, I heart Ben Cross. Have since Chariots of Fire, which was produced by Dodi Fayed, which brings us back to the Helen Mirren movie.

Good actor but has has some unfortunate roles recently. If Mirren were frumpier she would look just like Her Majesty. That Legends sounds horrible- anything with Joan Collins and Linda Evans just has to be horrid.

Well, other than Dynasty, which was pure unadulterated television genius.

Indeed. With re to my last post. I didn't mean to suggest that Mirren was unattractive- far from it! In fact QEII was quite the...never mind.

I've seen photos of Helen Mirren topless from thirty years back or so floating around the 'net...Crown Jewels indeed...

More than photos - and more than topless - she stared in Bob Guccione's camp porn classic, Caligula.
