Jameson House - a condo project in Vancouver by Foster and Partners

It is a Foster afterall - thankfully we are getting York U station by him. Speaking of which I wonder if How Much Does Your Building Weight, Mr. Foster? will get a showing here. Apparently it's great uncritical archi-porn.

It's definitely refined like many a Toronto project, but if Jameson House was built here, I'd be disappointed by the tame exterior architecture by such a high-profile international name. It's no Bow; it's very comparable to the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy Building. It comes down to pods versus silo-like cylinders.

The south facade is quite disappointing, but will soon be largely blocked by an office tower (likely the reason that the windows on the south side are small)

Oh forgot to mention - the firm is also working on the 3C project at Lower Don Lands, so with luck we'd be seeing what we'd get here soon.
