Jack Diamond Lecture at the Toronto Reference Library

I missed the first half hour, unfortunately. He's such an informative speaker. A pity the sound quality on that recording's poor.

The following week I went to hear Bruce Mau and Warren Berger talk design at ManuLife Indigo - but it turned out to be all about interviewer Heather Reisman instead. By the time I got over to the Library to hear Measha the doors were shut - full house, apparently.

... speaking of whom ...

In my home, I have just finished constructing an in-the-wall cabinet/organizer with shelves etc., got rave reviews from my squeeze about the results, and so I responded:

"I've named it the Jack Diamond; it's functional, and its design is direct and to the point".

I've been de-cluttering recently, too. My model is Savonarola's cell in the monastery of San Marco, though I shan't be burning any books to achieve it.

Thank you for posting this. Fascinating. I think this would be of interest to just about everyone on UT.
