Below is a list from Skyscraper.com that lists the venues where the Pritzker Prize has been awarded. I was wondering, if it was ever awarded in Toronto, what would be a suitable venue? I can't think of any except for maybe the Distillery or Carlu.

Any other ideas?

Below is a list from Skyscraper.com that lists the venues where the Pritzker Prize has been awarded.

What list?

My idea: BCE Galleria, Heritage Square

The BCE Place galleria was my first thought. Also consider:

Osgoode Hall
Whatever party space is going into the ROM
City Hall
That apartment that Phillip Johnson designed on Bloor Street
Walker Court or the Tannebaum Atrium at the AGO, though the pending destruction of the latter is controversial so they probably wouldn't go there.

Hart House
University College
New City Hall Rotunda
Eaton Centre Atrium
Any non-descript Toronto neighbourhood

GB

Hey...hey...guys...

Aren't we putting the cart before the horse here?

Don't we first have to establish Toronto as a centre for excellence in architecture and design?

...THEN they'll come!

The Phillip Johnson designed apartment is at the top of one of the office buildings on the North side of Bloor between Bay and Avenue. If you look at the tops, and see pine trees growing, that's the one.

It was done in the 60's, but had never been published until earlier this year, in, I think, the Globe and in, I think, Toronto Life Fashion, or Flare, or that magazine that Jeanne Becker does that is distributed with the Globe.

CBC (Barbara Frum) Atrium
Massey College
Union Station
Roy Thompson Hall

Carlu is the best though...

Is this the one that was owned by the president of the TD Bank who also had the TD Centre built?

Oh, I don't know. I think the original tenants are still there...

It was in a Toronto Life issue about great homes in Toronto.
