I'm stuck guys... I need to go to The Docks for a birthday party this weekend and because I'm going right after work I won't have a ride. How the hell does one get to The Docks without a car?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Cherry Beach bus. From Union Station it follows Esplanade to Cherry St and ends at Cherry Beach. Don't know the hours of service.

thanks Ed... at least I got a lead to follow. I doubt it would go on all night though.. I need to be there from 11:30 to 1:30ish.

172E Cherry runs until just about midnight... so I can get there.. now how to get back? I have to score a chick with a ride.. lol

There are these things called taxis. You could try one of them.

How does such an eyesore of a building, with awful street presence, manage to lure people inside?

Maybe that's the thing. Dress in a skimpy outfit; then, stand on Cherry Street, lift your skirt and stick out your thumb...

There are these things called dildos. You could try one of them.

Please spare me the sarcasms...

I'm going there for work. It's somebody's birthday and I'm photographing it for them. If I take a cab both ways, I'm defeating the financial purpose of going there to begin with.

Have you seen the VIEW? 8o Going to an outside party with great music, beautiful women and a jawdropping view of Toronto is enough incentive for most people.

Ah, rather like the opera house - substance over spectacle.

Can't you get a lift with the birthday boy / girl?

Ride a bike or walk. 20 minutes you can be at King. Or charge more money, and take a cab.

I have. Though it wasn't a dildo that taught me not to take jobs that dont pay enough.

Don't the Docks run a water taxi from the York Street Pier?

I don't see anything listed on their website, but they do have contact info. You could see what they say: www.thedocks.com/
