There was a proposal to build a 5 storey, 23 unit condo with retail at grade here a while ago, but there has been some action lately.

The properties from 28-36 Lakeshore Rd W were have been demolished (a few months ago?) after being boarded for a year or two. http://goo.gl/maps/RSRzg

I drove by a few days ago and there was a sign with a rendering of the condo to be built, it looked like it would be brick but I didn't stop to have a better look.

I think the house beside Edward Jones is historic and will be used as a sales centre, and will later be converted to retail.

This is going by the name of GreenLife West Harbour by Del Ridge Homes, and will have 3 retail units in addition to the 23 apartments.

Looks like they're going for the Parisian style like Randall Residences, although it's a little unusual how the building seems to be facing Chisolm but the retail faces Lakeshore.

It would be an impressive building if it were faced with natural stone.

I know its using stone(not stucco or eifs), with slate shingles, so it should have some character.

Also, the sign on the site which formerly had a render now has been painted white, seems odd.
