Great pics, wylie. I see this stuff every day but it's still fun to see the photo tours. A couple of very pleasant surprises, the Ryerson Continuing Ed building and the new Yonge St. facade of the Atrium on Bay:

Very nice! I was unsure about that copper cladding at first but it seems to work well against that charcoal background.

Huge improvement to the Yonge St. facade, including the backlit advertisements and the new brightly lit retail space at the corner of Yonge and Edward which was dead space before. The Atrium on Bay is slowly learning to respect the street.

^ whoa, when did that happen?? Works very well in that area. Simple things can be so satisfying.

Great pics - thanks!

Aren't there offices behind those banners at Atrium on Bay?

i love this time of the year with all of the holiday decorations

Thanks for the cool pics Wylie. How do you guys like the decorations on Yonge compared to last year? I really like this year's version a lot more as it complements the decorations at dundas square much better. Toronto has definitely moved things up a notch in the christmas decorations when compared to last year....I just hope they improved on the decorations on University because they are usually quite pitiful for our grand avenue.

I love the winter so much. One of my favourite things to do is go skating at NPS, then walk home along University Avenue during a light snowfall.

I'm not sure if that is sarcasm saying that the decorations match the Dundas Square ones which are equally unimpressive or not. When I first saw the decorations I figured it was a cost saving measure by leasing out July 4 holiday decorations for the winter months. I understand a blue and white snowflake... but what are the red lights doing and what are the box shapes? At least last year's decorations made sense.

I was at a function at the Carlu when you took those pics of College Park.

i like the two photos ganjavih pointed out for the same reasons. the new ryerson building is really striking. i wonder how it will look when the copper oxidizes, though.

I don't think they're boxes, but it symbolizes rays of light coming out from the stars. And they always look like boxes either:

Great pics! The big neon LG ad at Dundas Square hasn't been lit for weeks now! I wonder what's going on with that...
