Bringing More Housing Choices to Mississauga: See Concept Designs & Take Survey

The City of Mississauga wants input on introducing more types of housing in our neighbourhoods. Launched last spring, our Increasing Housing Choices in Neighbourhood Study is exploring ways to introduce a variety of housing choices in Mississauga.

We have prepared concept designs for some of the housing types we are exploring:

• Garage conversions
• Duplexes, triplexes and multiplexes
• Garden suites
• Laneway suites

We’re looking for feedback on the concept designs and how these options could help meet housing needs in our City. We’re seeking input on general fit, yard space, privacy, parking and the best way to access the units. We’re also asking for your thoughts on allowing other housing types in neighbourhoods such as smaller detached homes, semi-detached and townhouses.
