Paris does it. Dozens of other cities do it.

We have the neighbourhoods to support it and make it memorable.

And the resulting infrastructure is good and green.

Hell even Regina tried to do it 10 years ago.

Forget the other lame-ass tourist routes... design and build a cycle route that the entire world will want to taste. That means real destinations, real partnerships (50% off perogis when you get to Roncesvalles) and real promotion.

I actually hate many of our domestic cyclists (behaviour) but this city could host the utlimate bike adventure for at least 6 months a year.

I'm hoping the future will have more bike lanes like this

I think building more bike lanes separate from the roadway with innovative designs (on busier routes at least) will greatly encourage cycling for people who are too scared to ride or ride on the sidewalk.. bike signals should also be implemented across the city to improve safety, accessibility, and improve cyclists and driver awareness and behaviour

haha! exactly, I was hoping for a future without cyclists ;)
In jest of course, but those photos make me think of the bike trials we've already got in Toronto. Most of the time they're empty, especially during the winter months.

I just don't think bicycles are the way to reduce congestion. And that's coming from someone who rode their bike from Vic Park and Kingston Rd to Ontario Place and back for work every day for two summers during university. I'd have much rather had a motorcycle.
