Bathurst Bus and Sheppard Sinkhole

After taking pics for Better Know a Car Line, I started to head home, but thought of checking out the Sheppard West sinkhole that closed the street this week and for about two months.

Also gave me an opportunity to experiment with taking pics from a bus. Results are encourging, even with the lowering level of sun after 5PM. Pics can really only be taken from GM New Looks or possibly other old buses without AC, where windows open properly.

Anyone for a 153-part series, Better Know a Bus Route? :b

Sheppard closed at Bathurst. Walking towards the closure point, it becomes remarkably quiet. A big ball hockey game really should be put on on this "local traffic only" part of Sheppard between the West Don River and Bathurst.

Very pleasant hood. There is one pic of some white, low rise slabs on a street that looks good.

In many older hoods in Toronto you can see the English infuence. After WWII it all becomes infuenced by the US.
