I took a short city trip to Antwerp last week. On wednesday, I took the train down to Brussels to visit the city once more.
To me, Brussels is worth a visit just as much as Paris (or London). It has grand avenues, urban parks, skyscraperclusters à la 'la Défense' and impressive public spaces that are no less than those that can be found in Paris. It's definitely a world city if you ask me (not in the last place because of the diversity of the population and the fact that the city is home to multiple (inter) national governments).
Older pictures of my visit to Brussels in June: Pt. One Pt. Two
Music
Near central station
Approaching the northeast of the inner city.
To the north of the inner city, there's a highrise cluster. Lots of commercial and government offices are located here.
The ringroad around the innercity, Brussel's equivalent of Paris' La Périphérique.
Skyscraper canyon, Brussels style.
Back in the innercity: shopping area.
Can't go to Brussels without seeing the Grand Place.
Side alley of the St. Hubertusgalleries.
Random street
C'est tout!
