I believe assignments can be allowed on the MLS if the developer allows it. Generally, they have clauses that restrict this since they don't want people unloading product while they are trying to sell out their residual units.
The fact of the matter is, some people in conjunction with their agents ,take the risk and put it up on MLS anyways, even when they are not allowed to by the builder.
