a couple questions about the website if you guys dont mind helping me out a bit

1. is there a way to filter out everything to see only masterplans

2. is there a way to see threads that filter from descending date. to see the most recent ones. i tried following a bunch but i dont know where to see the updates or even if im receiving any

For #2, you should get a notification badge on the bell icon on the top right when there's a new post in any thread you are following.

Also you can find all the threads you are following quickly here in the "Watched" drop down at the upper left, or simply bookmark this link: https://urbantoronto.ca/forum/watched/threads

For #2, you should get a notification badge on the bell icon on the top right when there's a new post in any thread you are following.

Ok, now I'm backtracking a bit, because no I don't get notifications (unless there's a way I'm missing to enable that feature), and also because when I go to your link, or just the "watched" section in general, it only shows me threads I've messaged on. Maybe that's how it works, but then what's the point of following a thread?

Watched threads (via the link above) will contain threads that you have "watched", which is available via the watch button at the top of a thread, like below that I outlined in green:

When you click/tap the button, you'll get a modal with two options:

After you choose an option and confirm by selecting "Watch", you will see those threads listed on the watched threads page ordered by when they were last updated.

If you want email notifications, you'll receive emails with subjects like "My favourite thread - New reply to watched thread".

On the site, alerts notify you that someone has replied to a thread you're watching, like this:

I mean more about the pins on the map, the forums, im not sure. but i follow those and i only get a notification (or if i go to the watched section) on forums that ive messaged. the ones that i followed i dont know where to go or if it even serves any purpose. ill probably just comment something along the lines of "added to my watch-list, thanks" so i can be notified unless theres a more easy solution
