This thread is more speculation than anything. The site has just been sold according to the broker page, and the Starbucks lease ends in 2022 (though there is apparently a possible 10-year lease extension).
Alone, this site doesn't have development potential, but if someone is looking to acquire neighbouring 690 and 692 Mt. Pleasant Road, then these lots suddenly becomes a prime development opportunity given the precedent set by everything else in the area, and the 280m proximity to a future LRT station at Eglinton.
