An article in The Star indicates that well know children's bookstore Mable's Fables is relocating due to the owner of their building indicating an intention to redevelop the site for condos in the next couple of years.

A curious note here is that the retail is actively leasing..........the owner is not holding the site vacant.
The corner building itself is only ~1,800ft2 so any large scale building here will have to be an assembly at least up to 874 Mt. Pleasant. Adding the first home in along Hillsdale would also
be helpful.
Its difficult to see the market this now, but there will be one, and the precedent to the south probably tells the tale here:
