Did anyone catch this on Sunday?
Miller came out looking the best while LeDrew improved his image a bit (he got a lot of applause when he suggested that if Miller were mayor in the 50s Toronto would've never gotten a subway). Pitfield came across as a hypocrite on a few occasions although the audience was behind her.
She seemed to score some big points with her 2KM/year 25 year subway development plan, but when asked how she intended to fund it she gave a vague 'Federal/Provincial funding + private partnerships' answer.
I should note, although I said LeDrew came out looking a bit better, he was still pretty ridiculous. For example, on the issue of youth crime, he blamed it on Toronto losing jobs to the suburbs. In fact, he blamed much of everything on that.
I also don't get Miller's refusal to really give incineration a chance. Waste diversion is the best way to go, but why not take care of the rest using a method that seems to be working well in other areas of the world?
