It can be anything - a building, an architect, an exhibition, a condo, a renovation, a play, a concert ... anything you thought was either really good ... or really bad.

The musical Wicked was quite stunning. I supposed I'll chirp in with a (hopeful) best of 2006 by saying I am highly eager to see Lord of the Rings.

Some of my Toronto favourites for the year:

*New buildings:
-CCBR and NBS.

*Renovation:
-ROM.

*Exhibitions:
-"Catherine the Great" ( for the gold coach ).
-"A Terrible Beauty" Bugs ... all over the Textile Museum.

*Opera:
-"Midnight Court Opera" Queen of Puddings Music Theatre.
-"Siegfried" COC.

*Concert:
-Elgar's "Enigma Variations" TSO conductor Bramwell Tovey.
-Vaughan-Williams "Lark Ascending" violinist Corey Cerovsek; TSO conductor Bramwell Tovey.
-Bach's "Christmas Oratorio" The Bach Consort and members of the TSO. Conductor Yannick Nezet-Seguin.

*Dance:
-"Body Re-Mix/Goldberg Variations" Compagnie Marie Chouinard.

*Visual Art:
