The walkway adjacent to the garage entrance is coming along. However the roads leading into the area are blocked due to security so I'm not sure how much construction can progress these days

Not sure if you're talking about recent events, but I think the lawn will be a bit damaged given what's going on right now....

April 15: exterior almost finished I was in a lab meeting last week, and I heard that they designed the building to support a 5-8 story addition. Makes sense if you look into the windows and see the massive concrete columns. Of course this would likely be 10 years into the future.

From The Strand: "The geothermal field will also act as both a garage and a subterranean classroom, where engineering students can see the inner workings" . The covered window may just be a display for the pipes as you said, but there is definitely some sort of classroom or interactive space in...

Guys.. the parking garage is open! Just chatted with a worker, said it’s open to walk around in. I couldn’t go in as I was late for my class. I’ll probably check it out around 12:30pm today

I stumbled upon the crane operators instagram, he seems to post amazing views every day (https://www.instagram.com/canadian_cranes?igsh=MTFnMWFsNGJxNzBmbw==). In one of his clips, he said this crane is the tallest free standing crane in North America!

I recall seeing a PDF for Sunnybrook's master plan which involves adding a 6-8 story building on their current parking lot outside M-wing. All I can find now is just a photo of the proposed building on this site. Not sure if they'll retain parking at that location, but as a Sunnybrook employee...

Just walked through Y&E, there are ZERO lane restrictions or sidewalk restrictions! Aside from the couple missing sidewalk pavers needed to be poured, it's pretty much back to 100%.

I didn't show it, but there is a fire pit at the floor of the gazebo. It looks like a gas fire pit, but even if it's not I'm not sure if having a wooden structure over a fire pit would be safe

I just wanted to point out some details of the Hart House plaza. The gazebo looks really nice, though the metal work around adjacent panels could be a bit cleaner. The wooden benches are something I haven't seen anywhere else really, they're quite beautiful. I believe UofT wanted to salvage...

Lots of road construction happening in these next few weeks. As per the community notices, it seems like the road surfaces will be mostly finished by end of Jan. Permanent traffic lights were just installed a few days ago across all four directions. Here are some photos As well, the...

I work with MRI scanners, and some NMR scanners. There is almost always a taped outline for the residual magnetic field of 5 Gauss (0.005 Tesla) around the scanner. Electronic devices generally operate no problem outside the 5 Gauss line, which is why we have it outlined. However since NMR...
