Don't know. Was only told that all conditions were satisified. I'm only financing 10% or so. Don't think there is much risk to the bank. I read home prices have dropped about 15%, so if I were trying to finance the full 80%, it could be an issue.

Do you mean two days ago Sunday...only 4 days notice?

I haven't gotten either. Was giving it until tomorrow (two weeks to occupancy). Considering that I arranged through the lawyer to pay nearly the full balance owing on occupancy (to avoid the 8% useless interest charge) if that was not reflected in the accounting, I am hoping my lawyer rejected...

I doubt it will close by January 8. I expect I will have to get an extension. I did not require a full appraisal, only an AVM.

This would indicate they are more behind than the November firm dates others have received would suggest. So they will divert resources from work on upper floors to try to meet the already-announced November deadlines and limit any potential compensation by pushing not-yet-firm units far into...

Just received a notification that my final tentative occupancy date of November 21 will not be met and gave a firm date of November 29. They wrote the note AS IF they had previously notified me of this change...they did not. Only notification was November 2022 with a date of October 26. IMO...

I likely will, but I sent them an email last week about whether closing date would potentially be after December 31, so I can get 2 years worth of FHSA and am still waiting...given how unresponsive they have been in general, I only want one outstanding request at a time.

I did check with my lawyer Monday...they received nothing either. According to Tarion terms, tentative occupancy becomes firm once 90 day notification has expired.

I did not receive notification by the 90 day deadline (July 28), so I guess that makes my tentative date final...or they are willing to risk potential compensation.

Still 10 days out from the 90 day minimum for me. How long was the delay?
