You know......maybe someone should tell their render people about the whole Sheppard Subway thing........... just sayin. - Northern Light A nice reminder of how far we've come (I don't know how to quote).

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

I think it's not only inevitable, but also logical. Such an improvement in transit would make it a great place for rentals, too. Don't think the area would face nearly as much NIMBY resistance as other parts of the city that will have rapid transit.

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

Without transparency one cannot help but wildly speculate about the embarrassing reasons. Colin Mochrie, having heard the reason, thinks it too ridiculous to be believable.

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

What confuses (or maybe doesn't but should) me is that a reasonable person can understand that climate change will not be solved by simply improvements in tiny ways. That same person seems to think that the housing crisis can be solved with baby steps. I understand the Marvel-esque hero/villain...

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

I think Ford's biggest threat for the next election is a seemingly inevitable Conservative win at the Federal level. His provincial opponents seem like second or third stringers. One is Doug Light and the other is mostly invisible except for things like subsidizing trucks on the 407. I wouldn't...

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

I hope you're right. There was talk from a mayoral candidate about changing the Line 2 Extension to an LRT even as the project was underway. Seems like significant LRT-support from people that will never use it.

The guy for that is dealing with a lot of stuff, including a certain baseball sensation.

I, also wish they elevated the surface section. It bothers me how the conversation/narrative is a focus on transit effectiveness or on cost. Fiscal conservatives really are frustrating. As I have heard others mention, splitting the line seems more likely than real transit priority. Frustrating...

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

How did the Crosstown have to do with electioneering in Scarborough? Also would ideas that have a majority of public support count as electioneering?

Is that guy in orange Shoehei Ohtani or any other free agent looking to juice their contract value?

As long as they keep the Dairy Queen on the first floor, it looks good.

Metrolinx, via a twitter reply said that there will be a TBM tracker in the new year. Unfortunately, which new year is unknown.

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

I know of someone that bought a house near Sheppard, hoping that there would be a subway nearby in the not too distant future. Little did they know the project was on the Bruno Caboclo timeline. Hopefully this will change.

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

This is absolutely false. Those who never spend time in Scarborough and want as little transit dollars as possible (though above the level where guilt would be triggered) spent in Scarborough want BRT. Keesmaat wanted BRT. I do not agree with those against the BRT to Oshawa, but that's an...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

Typical conservative nonsense. Scarborough is far more working class and far less wealthy than all the other community councils of Toronto. This is no different from: 1) Be rich 2) Don't be not rich

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

No where in the response said it had to be tunneled. It can still be grade-separated, and elevated. I like what they did with the Ontario Line. Extend it North of Danforth in exchange for elevated implementation.

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

Maybe I'm misremembering but one of the choices being put forward comparing to a grade-separated option included signal priority for the on-street option. The time difference presented was minimal with signal priority. Though without signal priority the calculus changes completely. I assume the...

Here are some more train widths that are greater than three metres. Seoul 3.1 m New York (many lines) 3 m Bangkok (Siemens) 3.1 m Wash DC (Alstom) 3.1 m Probably many, many more in Asia. Hyundai Rotem makes trains for a bunch of systems that...

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

I'm not sure that has been decided. There is a subway line extending into York Region and another planned at the other end using the same vehicles. There may have been a preference for those routes extending via LRT, but that does not seem like it will happen, currently.
