I was told by my lawyer that I will need to apply for the HST rebate, as I am eligible. He does not provide this service. Does anyone in the group have a recommendation for someone who can handle this?

Thanks Abz. You are correct. I made an error, as this is my first time purchasing a precontruction. The builder claims it on our behalf and this is built in the purchase price.

I think you get the rebate, as the builder built the HST in the purchase price. You are supposed to get the rebate if you (or your relative) live in the condo.You should get a rebate even if you rent it out to someone for at least a year.

That's great news. I did not receive anything yet but I am hoping it is soon as well. Does everyone close on the same date? Also, is it possible to close earlier once you have the date? In case anyone knows.

Thank you. I tried contacting the builders office but no one picks up. When I spoke to them last they said that they did not know when it will close. If anyone gets any information please share here.

It's been 8 months now and still no closing date in sight. Has anyone been able to get even an estimate on the timeline?
