GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Right, was just showing the route - 1929 it stopped?

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I did this illustration for the museum in Guelph last year - maybe ION/GO street running along Waterloo into downtown Guelph can be reinstated? Exiting the Fergus sub at Silvercreek - site of the old silvercreek brewery - Who ever wudda thought?! Sorry this verging on fantasy territory!

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

I think the Guelph to Cambridge (DMU?) should go right into Cambridge on alignment built for the ION... Is there a way to intergrate those together? Assuming Guelph service arrives every 30 minutes (at best!), this could be slotted in - maybe a third platform at the terminal? Would be annoying...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Hey, do you when this construction will take place? I live right next to the Norfolk bridge and can't seem to get info on anything! - since it seems no visible work is happening west of Dublin, I assumed they would reinstate the switch (and existing signal) to be the western end of the double...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Breaking the North track bridge (Wilson st) apart - 20mph restriction on the new track After speaking with the workers, it sounds like the this is only a temporary track flip to replace the bridges - sadly the 2nd track from Guelph Central to the Hanlan will not be constructed for at least...

    Orangeville-Brampton Railway (OBRY)

I think this is good news... there is no reason it cannot be both. There are countless examples. Guelph, K/W, Hamilton, Toronto... It may mean a lower capacity single track line with passing loops sometime in the future, but this is a positive step forward.

    VIA Rail

Yes, and also the Large (6 car double decker?) Mascouche trains will disgorge many passengers at Côte-de-Liesse mostlikely overwhelming the tiny 4-car REM trains... Taking them directly downtown makes most sense.

    VIA Rail

Would like to know how much research went into the Pink Line route... As the Southern part of my route would essentially mimick that alignment. (including the portal) The Pink Line was expected to surface around the area of my portal and travel at grade in the corridor until Montreal Ouest...

    VIA Rail

Yes - very costly (but quite beneficial!) I was thinking for the tunnel to dive down after Atwater and basically follow the path of the proposed PInk Line - Not sure how much technical work they did on that? The Pink Line presumably had a station under Gare Centrale. But its somewhere to start.

    VIA Rail

Talking about the Electrification of St. Jerome Commuter Line and VIA HFR new tunnel options - This alignment offers significant improvements to St. Jerome, Mascouche, Candiac and Vaudreuil/Hudson Lines by allowing ALL commuter trains direct access to Gare Centrale, while allowing VIA an even...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Sure thing - This sort of thing I imagine could go in tandem with aggressive road markings to help people navigate their desired "line". By all means share away! I would love to take this further... I did one for Guelph too - would love to do more.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you like it... funny, as soon as I posted it, i started updating it! I've fixed Waterfront and Dundas - just looking for more fixes now. You are right about the Bellwoods connection - thats what I do now. I will consider that while we wait an eternity for WTRT...
