Cladding/glazing arguably looking better than the renders. Not every day that happens.

Something about the off kilter angles of the pedestrian spaces between these towers reminds me a lot of Artist’s Alley. Both builds are well above average, while having perhaps slightly too sterile of an exterior to merit instant classic status. Although I believe the cladding here awaits...

Feels like these have been 95% done for at least 6 months, and the homestretch is taking forever. Block E in particular seems trapped in construction hoist purgatory.

It’s crazy how none of the renders really show how the north side of this will look. Excited to see how it comes together.

4 months to complete 26 storeys of above grade formwork seems.. slightly ambitious, no?

Cladding now visible on the east side! As One Bloor West and Sky Tower slowly approach the finish line, awesome to have so much to look forward to here. From an aesthetic standpoint, that is. Some of those unit layouts are diabolical.

It’s obviously better than Daniel’s on the Waterfront City of the Arts, but it honestly reminds me of that. Tons of attention paid to the first five stories, looks amazing, and then the tower portion is an utter mess. Nothing is as bad as Daniel’s, but this looks.. not good.

If this project finishes this year it’s gonna get a lot of love in the year end poll. Looks amazing.

I’d say the crown looks better so far IRL than it did in the renders, and that all 3 coloured crowns really have the potential to bump this project from a 7 out of 10 to an 8 when all is said and done.

Hmm, “so far” is a great point. The exterior’s not very far along. Sometimes things turn around.

It doesn’t feel like the quality of the cladding is the problem here. It’s not luxurious, but it’s not terrible. It’s a failure of design.

I’m holding off final judgement for now, it’s nowhere near done, but.. gotta say I’m not loving this one. Cladding is chaotic and grim.

The precast panels here are light years better than the vast majority imo
