It's nice to see Brampton transit increasing service on many routes giving the record setting ridership. With the one fare program, I believe the 501C is not needed anymore.
Brampton transit service changes for April 29th and it includes increased frequencies on some route and extended span of service on routes such as 9 Vodden and 29 Williams but no Sunday service increase on the 501 Zum Queen despite excessive overcrowding when riders head to the VMC subway...
We also need full 7 day a week service restored on 107 Malton Express and 110 University Express as well. I dunno why MiWay is hesitant to restore pre pandemic service on those routes when ridership is at record breaking levels.
Pearson Airport 2023 annual report is out and 2023 passenger traffic number is 44.8 million which was the lowest annual number since 2016 but an increase of 25.8 percent compared with 35.6 million in 2022: https://www.torontopearson.com/en/corporate/media/press-releases/2024-03-28
Exactly, people living in smaller detached homes, townhomes, condos, and community housing such as most areas in Richmond Hill, Oshawa, Toronto, Peel Region where many recent immigrants settle, and Hamilton usually take the bus more often.
Bramalea GO is already finished and also one of the MPP that will attend this remark represents Mississauga Cooksville and the other MPP that represents Brampton East does not include Bramalea GO. Just wait and see tomorrow.
Back in March, Stan Cho, the associate minister, announced the removal of double fare between GO and ONLY 905 transit systems: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/go-train-transit-connecting-fares-local-free-1.6368502
I'm not always right. It's just a guess. Two of the MPPs attending this remark represents ridings in Peel that borders Toronto, and in those ridings, there are often riders that have to pay another fare if they want to transfer to TTC at VMC, Humber College, or Kipling station.
