That is down the street from where I live. I doubt it will be approved at that height, but they will probably settle at something halfway. I think the people most affected will be the neighbourhood east of it. Traffic is already a nightmare on Bayview and this will just add to that.

Any updates about The Ravine? There hasn't been much movement or construction. A relative of mine purchased a condo here many years ago and he hasn't had any updates in almost 2 years.

I live nearby and it's been like that for such a long time. Difficult to see if there's any real progress other than some dirt being moved around.

Old Yorke is a awesome, my fave place for fish and chips. I'm sure your in-laws will enjoy it. The Metro parking lot is fenced off for construction too. I guess there will be a station entrance at northwest and southeast corners. The northeast corner plaza will be torn down for a pair of condos.

Units are beginning to shut down on the northeast corner of Eglinton and Bayview. Mac's convenience store is no more. I wonder how much time remains on the other leases for the remaining stores.

I agree. The one on Bayview in the middle of the "village" is such a great location. I doubt they'd be willing to give up that location to move it north. They'll operate both of them to serve both neighbourhoods.

Agreed. I live on Overlea and don't mind a Costco being put there (I think it'll be good for the area) but the gas bar would definitely attract a lot of unwanted traffic. Just look at the traffic trying to get to the gas bar at the Costco on Warden... insane!

Yah there was a lot of uneven pavement caused by the TTC buses, especially in front of EYTC. I bike on Overlea too and now it's much better. Although in the future I hope they make room for bike lanes. There's a lot of room available if they narrow those center islands.
