According to Mayoclinic: 1. Have an unreasonable view of self importance 2. Expect to be recognized even without achievement 3. Make achievements and talents larger than they are 4. Take advantage of others to get what they want 5. Inability to recognize impact on others 6. Insist on the best...

After overcharging everyone, the guy claims responsibility for achieving everything by himself, then brags about a legacy which is completely inconsiderate of all of the people who are now screwed because of his mismanagement.

He personally did all of the hard work. No team. And no realization that his legacy involves screwing purchasers, trades, and investors. But OK. i'll drop this.

The trait of a classic narcissist. "I developed the building, I bought the corner, I zoned it, I built it up to the 53rd floor — all of the heavy lifting, I've done. There's no dispute about that," he said. "Nobody can dispute that my legacy in terms of what I've done stands and speaks for...

The original application had parkland consolidated on the south east I think. Then the City broke it up so they are probably giving the City the middle finger.

    Toronto The Addison Residences | 49.9m | 16s | Adi | Core Architects

I can't imagine anyone is going to buy from Adi, regardless. Purchasers are skittish; why would they buy from a developer with such a blemish?

I walked past this today and they've started remediation inside.

What a waste of planning time. No way this will move at those densities in the best of times.

Everyone - don't worry - this ain't getting built in this market.

This seemed like a can't win. 1. Mizrahi has never built a skyscraper. 2. The local architect is Core who hasn't built any supertalls 3. Local trades have never built anything like this before. 4.. The capital is overseas capital. 5. The intersection is exceptionally challenging for material...

Centrecourt builds at the low end of the market. This wouldn't fit them.

    Toronto The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

Exactly. No one would put shovel in the ground on a new tower that relied on $1.4B of spec sales today. It would be insane.

Because its not clear that throwing good money after bad makes sense. Even if they finish it, they have $1.4B in units to sell. Not sure it's a build it and they will come at this point, so while each additional floor creates cost, it's not clear that it creates profit.

I see several comments on additional storeys being a great strategy. The land value here is maybe $300 PSF, and the risk is enormous to add more density when you still haven't sold nearly $1.4 billion of inventory. I'm not sure throwing good money after bad is the right move. Increasing height...

Why is everyone looking for a silver bullet that killed this? Let me describe this from the outside and you can tell me if it's setup for success: Developer who has never built a high rise builds Canada's tallest and arguably most epxensive high rise, with structural system which has never been...
