I've been riding up and down Spadina for years and I wonder why I never hear of a push for bike lanes. Would be a great road for them, as far as I'm concerned.
Any idea how this building will utilize the alleyway behind? 115/125 Blue Jays built in a pretty cool little bricked area and I'm hoping this development will expand upon that.
Sure. I'm just thinking of an East Harbour-esque station existing between King-Liberty and Exhibition somehow. Just wondering what the stations will be capable of, even if it's for future use.
Will trains from anything other than the Kitchener line be able to stop at King/Liberty? No reason why not, although track switching would be required. All I've found is something about it having island platforms to serve the Kitchener line better.
Awesome thanks. It'd be good if they could squeeze a ramp into the west side of the park too, with proper access to the bridge. Rather than forcing cyclists to dismount for the stairs, as well as other more pressing reasons.
Was disappointed by Fresco :( the chips weren't too chip-shop like and the fish wasn't much to write home about, although I did walk through -10 with it for 15 minutes so maybe that had something to do with it.
There were a couple of patios on Bloor W that attempted to replicate the ones on Danforth. The Bloor ones had wider lanes around the patios, and I think Danforth needs those, since it's almost impossible to pass people safely.
I'll never not be absolutely amazed when I see pictures like this. I've only been in Toronto for 8 years and it's so different but images like this blow my mind! Desolate wasteland to condo wasteland in just a few years!
I think you're wrong, and by complaining about people complaining about white people you come across like the 50s troll.
The city isn't a white city, but white people utilize public space disproportionatly. To not address this would be disingenuous, despite your white fragility.
If most people using Toronto's publicly owned golf courses belong to a group of people who don't represent the actual city, then that needs to be addressed. Just because you have issues with people addressing instances in which white people are prevalent doesn't mean you have to make these weird...
Since everyone enjoyed my previous brilliant photoshop work (I actually use GIMP but that's neither here nor there) I figured I'd ask opinions on this YongeTomorrow modification. Lots of cities around the world place the bus stop on an 'island' between the bike lane and the mixed-vehicle lane...
Just emailed KWT about improving Parliament and Bloor. I keep seeing posts about how shit it is to ride there, and when it rains the bike lanes flood.
You can look on Google Maps to see the difference, but reducing the mixed-vehicle lanes from 6 to 5 drastically increases the bicycle lane...
